The Next Series of The Block- Frank Valentic

It is always an exciting time waiting to see the apartments being completed on every series of The Block. Every year there are some new renovation trends and ideas which are showcased by the contestants on The Block.
We have seen a lot of different rooms and apartments in bidding on all seven Melbourne series of The Block, bidding on 26 of the 31 apartments  that have been auctioned. Though we have always given our client’s professional advice to stick to our budgets and limits and not get carried away with the emotion of an auction and have successfully purchased 5 apartments on the big Auction Grand Finales.
The most popular series to date with our buyers was Dux House, 47 O’Grady St, Albert Park which our buyers loved because of the blue chip A1 Albert Park location. They also loved the art deco features and heritage timeless appeal of the building. We bid on all four apartments and successfully purchased the winning Block apartment again, which was Steve and Chantelle’s north facing apartment. We had three disappointed buyers and many others who we couldn’t bid for that would have loved to secure one of the deco apartments.
Though, we had a delighted homebuyer that still enjoys living their today with their young family. My professional doctor clients and their young child love everything about the apartment and location. We look forward to taking many buyers that missed out on Dux House, Albert Park through this new art deco building, a former soap factory on Ingles St, Port Melbourne. It will be exciting seeing the bigger spaces as these apartments are approximately 200 square metres internally compared to 160 square metres in Albert Park.
Many of our past buyers are keen to see the roof top communal entertaining terrace which will have amazing 360⁰ bay and city views. Many of the apartments are expected to have some park or city views which is always a big bonus and popular feature.
Again there will be five apartments to choose from this series and I am sure the art deco features including the high ceilings and heritage features will again result in a combination of investors and homebuyers bidding against us again on auction day at our 8th series later this year. We look forward to seeing the former soap factory taking shape into some special apartments with a WOW factor

Highest Scoring Block Couples Of All Time!

Each week on The Block the teams fight it out to impress the judges, in hope of winning the weekly $10k prize to put towards their ever-decreasing budgets. But until now, we have had no idea who the highest scoring Block couple of all time is. Unsurprisingly, two teams from the current season made an appearance in the countdown as well as some from many seasons ago. Read on to see who took the top prize.

5- Caro and Kingi from The Blocktagon 2015 Caro and Kingi sure were the fan-favourites of The Blocktagon as they impressed the judges with Kingi's top-notch rendering skills which they featured throughout their Scandustrial (scandi industrial) South Yarra apartment. The Townsville-twosome came third at auction and walked away with a whopping $405k. Their apartment was purchased by a well-known QLD hospital charity and was part of a lotto giveaway. It was then sold again after that for $1.722mil.

Living and Dining Reveals!

Hey Blocksters, back by our follower's request is our weekly Room reveal review. I'll try my best not to be 'Negative Nellie', but there are no guarantees. This week was by far the most dramatic and emotionally straining so far for the contestants, with the second walk-off this season. Thankfully all 5 couples delivered finished Living and Dining rooms, including Hans and Courtney who had the largest space in Block history.  Let's have a look at the rooms delivered.

Kerrie and Spence
The obvious hero of the room is the stunning coffered ceiling. Not only is it very detailed, but it makes the room feel more mature and comfortable. This was mainly due to the amazing furniture choices and layout choices that they made. The combination of the leather and the soft grey fabric works well as well. The bookshelf against the entrance wall is also a success, styling book-shelves is by no means easy but Kerrie's styling is superb (#shelfie)! The emerald velvet dining chai…
