It is always an exciting time waiting to see the apartments being completed on every series of The Block. Every year there are some new renovation trends and ideas which are showcased by the contestants on The Block.
We have seen a lot of different rooms and apartments in bidding on all seven Melbourne series of The Block, bidding on 26 of the 31 apartments that have been auctioned. Though we have always given our client’s professional advice to stick to our budgets and limits and not get carried away with the emotion of an auction and have successfully purchased 5 apartments on the big Auction Grand Finales.
The most popular series to date with our buyers was Dux House, 47 O’Grady St, Albert Park which our buyers loved because of the blue chip A1 Albert Park location. They also loved the art deco features and heritage timeless appeal of the building. We bid on all four apartments and successfully purchased the winning Block apartment again, which was Steve and Chantelle’s north facing apartment. We had three disappointed buyers and many others who we couldn’t bid for that would have loved to secure one of the deco apartments.
Though, we had a delighted homebuyer that still enjoys living their today with their young family. My professional doctor clients and their young child love everything about the apartment and location. We look forward to taking many buyers that missed out on Dux House, Albert Park through this new art deco building, a former soap factory on Ingles St, Port Melbourne. It will be exciting seeing the bigger spaces as these apartments are approximately 200 square metres internally compared to 160 square metres in Albert Park.
Many of our past buyers are keen to see the roof top communal entertaining terrace which will have amazing 360⁰ bay and city views. Many of the apartments are expected to have some park or city views which is always a big bonus and popular feature.
Again there will be five apartments to choose from this series and I am sure the art deco features including the high ceilings and heritage features will again result in a combination of investors and homebuyers bidding against us again on auction day at our 8th series later this year. We look forward to seeing the former soap factory taking shape into some special apartments with a WOW factor
